The Mullard 20 Watt Amplifier
In the early 1950's Mullard produced a number of amplifier designs to promote their valves. This is an original article from the early 1950's. The amplifier uses two EL34's, ECC83,EF86 and a GZ34 rectifier. This amplifier is still being built today and a search on the internet reveals a number of kits being sold or suppliers of the transformers. A full explanation of the circuit is given and a component layout is suggested together with drilling instructions. It is intended that the amplifier is used together with the Mullard Preamplifier also described on this site. With thanks to Jim for supplying this article.
